How Automated Innovation is about to Revolutionize our Future

As automation technologies play an increasingly great role in everyday life, their potential impact  is naturally drawing public attention. The following article introduces some leading innovations that relate to automation, one of the hottest trends in modern technology. Here are some examples of automated innovations that have the potential to revolutionize our future:

An automated job searching platform

Thanks to searchin, companies and talent do not have to search for each other anymore as they are both served by a smart tool that is doing it for them.

Why was there a need for another job search site?

According to CEO Yogev Ben-Tov “Searchin was born from a pain I experienced as an employer – doing the same actions over and over again in order to find potential employees – looking for professionals on social networks, reviewing their experience, seeking for the the best ways by which I should contact them and word personalized messages that will get their attention.

How is searchin disrupting job searching?

Ben-Tov explains: “Searchin is automating job search by using advanced discovery and matching algorithms that were developed along with advanced data analysis and verification methods. The fuel for Searchin is open positions which are published around the web. Once the system discovers a position and analyzes it, our full candidates discover & match cycle starts”.

How fast will searchin ‘replace existing methods? Ben-Tov: “we are currently running a closed beta with selected companies in  the US, Europe, and Israel. Our platform has already discovered more than 130K professionals from around the world and already conducted over 2.5M matching analysis.

What does the future hold with regards to automated  job search solutions?According to Ben-Tov “Employees and employers seek smart technologies that will save them critical time. (making the phrase “searching for a job is a full time job” irrelevant). While there are plenty of solutions to help professionals and companies find each other, most of them require a lot of involvement from both sides. Searchin comes with a clear vision of being a minimum involvement-required-solution for both sides. One example is the fact we scan companies’ open positions and start working for them without them even knowing about it. Another example is that after joining with one click, professionals can leave the website – and we will take care of everything for them, from here on only to contact them when a highly relevant job was found on site including a genuine interest that was shown in their anonymous profile (no newsletters invovled!)”

What is your vision?

Searchin aims at helping candidates find the perfect position for them. I believe that the job / employees search industry has been broken for many years now. The process for both sides is frustrating and time-consuming. Given that most of the information needed in order to make a match is available online, there’s no reason people will keep doing it manually. Furthermore, from research I read, It appears that some 71% of high-tech employees in the US change jobs every two years. It is therefore evident to me that employed professionals need a smart tool that will be their eyes and ears on the market, while they can save critical time and at the same time avoid risking their current jobs. A fully automated solution offers this exact value.

This and more, Searchin, as an automated solution, works nonstop, it works fast and on a much higher scale than any human can. Job search automation is definitely the future and I believe that Searchin will lead it”.

An automated BI

Anodot discovers outliers in vast amounts of data and turns them into valuable business insights. Using patented machine learning algorithms, Anodot isolates issues and correlates them across multiple parameters in real time, eliminating business insight latency and supporting rapid business decisions through its uncovered insights.

Why was there a need for another BI tool?

According to David Drai founder and CEO Anodot “Anodot was born from a very problematic situation I encountered as a CTO in a previous start-up. Our company’s sales suddenly dropped in one of our markets and until we managed to figure out the cause, we already lost a lot of money and were extremely frustrated at how long it took us to fix the damage. The incident left me with some work to do – to understand what could have been done better to solve our startup’s problem faster and protect the company from revenue loss and damage to our brand’s reputation. We realized that the available BI solutions were too slow and traditional (they were actually nothing more than attractive visualizations on dashboards) and this is why I decided to disrupt the $16.9 billion BI industry by founding what is now Anodot.

How is Anodot disrupting the BI market?

Drai explains: “Generally speaking, when initially introduced, smart BI tools gave many companies hope that organizing and managing their data would help them analyse their customer behaviour and scale. However, I believe that this industry  has so far failed to deliver it’s promise.

Anodot is different in that sense, because it actually notices and instantly alerts about every single thing that could potentially be a little off. Even if a metric is out of place. The real beauty of Anodot is that it identifies these anomalies at such an early stage that it can predict that something will become a major issue long before it does. With traditional BI solutions, BI analysts need to ask questions and seek answers. In other words, the “intelligence” in BI is actually coming from the user, not the software. This may have been good enough at one time for enterprise data, but when you are talking about Big Data it is nearly impossible to know what to ask, or where to look in the data for the answers.  Anodot is disrupting the static business intelligence world with a completely new paradigm to suit today’s Big Data.  Anodot uses its patented machine learning algorithms to ask all the possible questions, and then provide insights based on what it surfaces as interesting. It learns the normal behavior of every data metric, so it can identify abnormal behavior, such as major increases or decreases. It then correlates related metrics automatically, so users receive a comprehensive story of what is happening with their business, all in real time”.

Would you be interested in sharing a case study where your smart BI helped a company avoid a major setback?

Drai: “Of course. One of our customer is the Rubicon Project, a publicly traded company that auctions Internet advertising spots.  They process huge amounts of bid requests – 13 trillion monthly – with more than 60,000 processing units across seven data centers.  The size and speed that the company operates at makes the stakes extremely high for glitches.

Rubicon Project is constantly analyzing its network for abnormalities because if ad networks cannot properly use their platform the entire business will suffer.  If an anomaly becomes an ongoing issue (and then a crisis), the entire business will be undermined.  The Rubicon Project identified a free open-source system monitoring and visualization tool but it was not sufficient for their needs.  The system required additional programming to catch patterns outside of the norm and could not identify granular anomalies, only on an aggregate level.

Each KPI that Rubicon tracks is monitored across multiple dimensions such as geographic region, device, and so forth, leading to a total of around 40,000 metric combinations, which would be totally unmanageable using the open source tool. Instead of building their own solution, Rubicon Project realized that they needed to incorporate an established machine learning technology for their anomaly detection.  The seamless integration of Anodot with the open source system they were using, coupled with its simplicity made it the best choice for Rubicon Project, now in use and identifying and solving issues even before customers notice that something is wrong”.

Please give us your 2 cents about the future of BI automation:

Drai: “As the future becomes automated, the systems automating our lives are going to need lightning fast intelligence on a broad range of business operations, and user experiences. If an automated airline pricing system suddenly offers transatlantic tickets for $50 by mistake, this glitch could wreak havoc, with customers scooping up tickets, leaving the airline to determine if they should honor the tickets and lose money, or refund them and create a social media storm. With regards to possible incidents ahead, if an Amazon Go supermarket accidentally starts charging customers $500 for a carton of milk, it will be a huge problem that will affect its brand. Anodot’s system addresses the needs of tech companies that exist today but will surely assist the ones that are about to enter our lives in the future”.

An Automated Marketer

Marketing managers have a challenging job. They have a product that is ready to go out to the market, or is already in the market, and they need to find the best ways by which they should interest as many potential customers as possible.

There are numerous marketing channels, however, in order to be extremely successful, marketers must be constantly innovative.

Marketing automation is the latest marketing trend, and some tools are almost threatening to replace human marketers.

A company called Smoove is an all-in-one system that automates marketing. It receives data from multiple sources and enables marketers to create automatic and highly personalized customers journeys– thereby maximizing conversions while

reducing the need for human involvement to the minimum.

According to Jonathan Shachar, founder & CEO Smoove: We worked very hard in order to create a platform that is actually minimizing marketing efforts for businesses worldwide. We started out with nicely designed newsletters, landing pages and other marketing tools that evolved into an innovative automation marketing tool that is not only easy to manage as it seriously helps businesses grow their customer base, manage their customers and execute what would otherwise be complex marketing campaigns. Marketers can now lean back and let an automated platform work hard to distribute any sort of digital campaign, that will also collect leads, forward it to them, reach out to those leads and at the same collect the all relevant data and analytics. This is what we can do only in  a nutshell because the platform capabilities are endless”.

One example I can share involves a promotion of a live concert by the popular singer “Sia”. The Azrieli Group (a real estate and holding company who owns and operates large shopping centers worldwide) gave a coupon code for Sia’s concert via text messages to all members of its Customers Club, a huge members club.

The Trigger to the initiation of the process was the filling out of a form on a landing page created with our system, then pulling out a unique code from an external source. The action was its implementation in a customized field within our system. From there the system was able to automatically send a personalized text message along with the required code and a link to buy the discounted ticket to each and every one of the thousands of company’s new subscribers.

Thanks to our smart automation solution, this complex process was simplified, saved many workdays as well as the need to develop new functions. In short, I believe that smoove is about to take a significant part in the evolving marketing automation revolution and I am certain that marketers want to know how to work such a helpful tool”.

There is no doubt that some technological innovations are about to revolutionize our day to day life, like the above examples, with automation leading the hottest technological trends in 2017
